A small letterpress studio in Brooklyn that typesets one-of-one crossword puzzles as gifts. You tell us about the person you love; we hand-edit a puzzle around them and ship it on uncoated cream.
Pick a tier, a theme, the inside jokes and dates that matter, and a recipient. About five minutes. We charge at order and ship within a week.
Both founders read every clue before it ships. If it does not capture them, write us and we will redo it or refund you in full.
Best effort. A grid is a tight knot of constraints. Our editor will fit the requested words wherever possible. If something does not fit, we will use a close substitute. Both founders review every clue before it ships.
The same two of us who started Type & Tile. We hand-edit every clue and review every line together before it ships.
Mini, about five days. Weekday, about seven. Grand, about ten. Book, three to four weeks. Rush is two days end-to-end on a Mini or Weekday.
Once we have started typesetting, no. If you realize something is wrong, write us within 24 hours of ordering and we will pause work and sort it out. After that window, the guarantee is the recourse.
If we miss the spirit of the gift, we redo it or refund you in full. Your choice. Once a printed keepsake or book has shipped, defects we made are reprinted at no charge.
Mini, Weekday, and Grand are digital PDFs you can print at home (and we can mail you the cream keepsake card for a small fee). The Book is printed, perfect-bound, and shipped.
United States only at launch. The book ships USPS Priority. Digital PDF is, well, everywhere.
