Every tier is hand-edited, typeset on uncoated cream, and shipped in a kraft envelope with a wax seal. The grid grows. The craft does not.

A quick hit.
A sit-down keepsake.
Sunday-size.
A bound collection.
Two days end-to-end on a Mini or Weekday. Sometimes the date sneaks up.
Hand-tied in a linen ribbon, sealed in wax. A printed card in your hand.
The puzzle, struck in oil-based ink on cotton paper. Numbered, signed.
The Mini holds one marquee theme and a few personal clues. Names, a place, a date. The Weekday opens up to two or three theme entries and the forty-eight clues are written around them. The Grand can carry a whole arc, three to five theme entries and a hundred-plus clues. The Book is its own conversation, twenty puzzles deep.
Best effort. A grid is a tight knot of constraints, and not every word fits with the others. Our editor will get you the requested words wherever possible. If something does not fit, we will use a close substitute. Both founders read every clue before shipping, so you can trust the puzzle that arrives.
Mini, about five days. Weekday, about seven. Grand, about ten. Book, three to four weeks. Rush is available on Mini and Weekday. Two days end-to-end. Order-by dates for major gift-giving holidays go up on the home page about a month in advance.
Once we have started typesetting, we do not offer changes. If something is wrong, write us within 24 hours of ordering and we will pause work and sort it out. Both founders read every clue before shipping, so the puzzle that arrives is the one you wanted.
If we miss the spirit of the gift, we redo it or refund you in full. Your choice. Once a printed keepsake or book has shipped, defects we made (a misprint, a binding flaw) are reprinted at no charge.
The same two of us who started Type & Tile. We hand-edit every clue and review every line together before it ships. If it is a holiday week, we sleep less.
The intake takes five minutes. We will handle the typesetting.
